The Birthing Soul is a space of reverence for the profound transformation that occurs through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss.
Founded by Britta—an energetic & somatic therapist, doula, and perinatal mental health specialist—it emerged from lived experience and the recognition that mothers are often left unsupported in their most tender thresholds. Rooted in both ancestral and modern wisdom, The Birthing Soul offers presence, care, and soulful guidance through one of life’s deepest initiations. This is a return to honoring motherhood as both soul entry and transformation.
Pregnancy, Birth, Postpartum & Loss are times of deep transformation and deep identity shifts, as everything in our lives is touched in some way by this transformation.
The Birthing Soul was created based on the wisdom gleaned from modern and ancestral resources, from inner and shared feminine wisdom, from the pain of experience, to bring a different opportunity to process this transformative time while being held, inspired, deeply present, and attuned to the body, connected to nature, and to our spiritual and emotional health.
Birth is a time of soul entry (the baby) and soul transformation. It is a threshold to integrate more wisdom from your soul's path, face & heal pain from your childhood, your lineage, your community. All of this in the name of supporting and valuing the life that is now growing in your care, this baby soul new to earth.
Our Story
Meet Britta, Mother of The Birthing Soul
Britta is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), meeting people in their soul crossroads using psychosomatic (body-based) therapies and accessing the profound yet subtle world of body energetics via Spinal Attunement & other energy practices. She is currently a student of homeopathy and midwifery. Britta has sat at the feet of birthing women since 2016 as a doula and perinatal therapist and aims to bring both broad and deep wisdom to birthing women everywhere.
Britta, by nature, contains the sparkle of starlight against the depths of mystery & intensity of the cosmic dark. Her dreams are colored in iridescence and ombré while her rebel spirit seeks to transform the way mothers and babies walk through life.
Fascinated by motherhood by age 10, Britta dances upon decades of admiration for Matrescence, ranging from becoming a mother’s helper and babysitter by age 11, a doula in 2016, Manager of Maternal Mental Health by 2018, and is now a student midwife and Founder of The Birthing Soul: a Holistic App for Pregnancy & Postpartum. Britta holds the threads of depth psychology & soul work, psychosomatic and energetic healing, and brings these passions directly to the source of life: birth & mothers.
Her interest in soul patterns emerged in her early 20s, during a course on Animism and Indigenous philosophy while she was studying Social Work in Flagstaff, Arizona. Her home now in the mountains of Colorado grounds her into the roots of grandmother Ponderosa Pines amidst the birdsong of Rocky Mountain aves.
Britta weaves together her own soul-witnessing by traversing pregnancy, birth & postpartum (x2) against the harsh and controlled systems of modern birth. Each thread of The Birthing Soul tapestry is woven with profound awe of the human experience; the way we are born and give birth, and our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs to reclaim soul– ours and our children’s– in an increasingly soulless world (one that shows no mercy, even to pregnant mothers & babies).
Meet Emily
Emily is the founder of Sovereign Rising and a guide for mothers who are committed to breaking generational cycles and raising sovereign, emotionally secure children.
Her work centers on subconscious reprogramming, nervous system regulation, and early childhood imprinting, with a deep focus on how a mother’s unhealed wounds and triggers quietly shape a child’s beliefs, behavior, and sense of safety.
Through ThetaHealing®, Emily supports mothers in clearing what was never theirs to carry—so they can parent from presence instead of reactivity, and model confidence, trust, and self-leadership for their children.
Emily’s presence is both grounding and catalytic—like a steady fire that softens what’s frozen and strengthens what’s true. She lives and teaches at the intersection of devotion and discernment, where motherhood becomes an initiation rather than a sacrifice.
Her work is grounded, honest, and unapologetically focused on one truth: When a mother heals, the imprint changes.
Meet Tara
Tara is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and pelvic health specialist, with advanced training in pelvic floor rehabilitation, perinatal care, trauma-informed practice, somatic healing, and quantum spine care. She is the founder of Sacred Bloom Pelvic Care, where she integrates evidence-based pelvic physical therapy with somatic awareness, fascia and spine-based work, and nervous system education to support pregnant and postpartum women with pain, birth recovery, bladder and bowel concerns, core dysfunction, and intimacy challenges. Her clinical approach is rooted in the belief that lasting healing happens when the body feels safe enough to change, and when women are met with both precision and reverence during one of the most powerful transitions of their lives.
Tara, true to her name carries a deep-rooted earthiness intertwined with cosmic sparkle. The root word “Terra” meaning earth in latin, and in Sanskrit “Tara” meaning Star. She moves easily between worlds, reaching into the unseen and drawing its wisdom gently into the body, where it can be felt, softened into, and lived.
Her path into the perinatal world began through clinical training in physical therapy, but was shaped just as deeply by witnessing how profoundly pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood reorganize a woman’s body, identity, and sense of safety. Over time, she saw how often pelvic pain, birth trauma, disconnection, and chronic tension were treated as isolated symptoms rather than meaningful messages from a wise nervous system. This recognition became the foundation of her work today, supporting women not only to heal, but to feel at home in their bodies again during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
Meet Patricia
Patricia is a certified yoga instructor, perinatal certified instructor, and a mindset and wellness coach with specialties in supporting postpartum women and new mothers. She brings an integrative blend of strength, somatic awareness, and grounded care that helps women feel capable in their bodies, steady in their minds, and deeply held in heart and nervous system through one of life’s most transformative passages.
Patricia carries the fierce steadiness of the moon over open ocean, grounding and luminous in the face of life’s constant tides. Her presence holds both strength and softness, offering mothers a place to exhale, embody their bodies, and return home to themselves.
Her path into the perinatal world emerged from a deep love and protection of mothers and a lifelong attunement to the rhythms of care. Growing up with a single mother, Patricia learned early how essential ongoing, compassionate support is for women — not only through pregnancy and postpartum, but throughout the unfolding of motherhood. From the age of fifteen, she held families close as a nanny, witnessing firsthand what true support can feel like, long before she stepped into perinatal teaching.
Based in Conifer, Colorado, Patricia’s work is rooted in nature’s rhythm and resilience — honoring motherhood as a sacred, powerful journey deserving of care, appreciation, and unwavering support. Her approach aligns with The Birthing Soul’s vision of returning women to their own inner knowing and embodiment, beyond checklists and timelines, and into the quiet wisdom of the body itself.
Meet Kayla
Kayla believes true nourishment restores balance not only within the body, but within the mind and spirit as well. Her approach recognizes the profound connection between nutrition, hormones, digestion, mental health, and energy - particularly during the vulnerable transitions of pregnancy and postpartum, when mothers are at increased risk for mood disorders and depletion. Rather than quick fixes or symptom-focused care, she works from a holistic and functional perspective, exploring each woman’s unique history and using personalized nutrition, lifestyle strategies, and advanced testing to uncover root contributors of imbalance.
Her path into the perinatal world began in early adulthood through a college course exploring nutrition through the human lifecycle, alongside witnessing her oldest sister’s journey into motherhood. Fascinated by the profound complexity of breastfeeding and the power of nourishment to shape new life, Kayla felt a calling take root. As her own family grew and through years of work supporting women, infants, and children, she became increasingly aware of how often mothers are deeply supported during pregnancy, only to be quietly forgotten in the postpartum period. This realization inspired the creation of her private practice, Nourished Mothers, built upon the belief that a healthy beginning for children starts with deeply caring for the mother. Over time, her work has expanded to support women through preconception, pregnancy, and the early years of motherhood, honoring the whole journey rather than a single chapter.
Kayla moves through life attuned to the quiet wisdom of nature - guided by light, seasons, and the cyclical rhythms that shape growth, rest, and renewal. Her presence is both grounding and nourishing, rooted in deep empathy and an intuitive sensitivity to the unspoken needs of mothers in their most tender seasons.
