By using The Birthing Soul, you acknowledge that your information may be collected, used, stored, and disclosed as described in this Privacy Policy. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before collecting, using, or sharing your personal information for purposes that require consent.

You may withdraw consent to optional data collection or processing at any time, subject to applicable legal or contractual limitations. You may also request deletion of your account and personal information as described below.

Information you provide directly. We collect information you voluntarily provide when you create or update an account, complete your profile, use features of the App, enter information about your pregnancy or postpartum experience, create journal entries, submit forms or feedback, contact us, or otherwise interact with The Birthing Soul.

Information collected through your use of the App. We may automatically collect certain technical, diagnostic, and usage information when you use the App, such as device type, operating system, IP address, app activity, performance information, and crash or diagnostic information, where enabled.

Authentication services. If you use Sign in with Apple or another supported authentication service, we may receive information provided by that service, such as your name, email address, and/or an account or user identifier, depending on the service and the choices you make.

Subscription and purchase services. When you purchase or subscribe to services through the App, we and our service providers may receive information necessary to process and manage your subscription, including subscription status, product purchased, transaction or purchase information, renewal status, expiration information, and an application-specific user identifier.

Third-party service providers. We may receive or process information through third-party providers that support the operation, security, analytics, subscription management, hosting, communications, or other functions of the App.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide access to app content, courses, and community features

  • Personalize your user experience

  • Process payments and manage subscriptions

  • Send important notifications, updates, and support responses

  • Improve app functionality, design, and offerings

  • Conduct internal analytics to understand how the App is used

3. Sensitive Information & Health-Related Data

  • Some features of The Birthing Soul allow you to voluntarily provide information that may be considered sensitive or health-related information. This may include information about pregnancy, estimated due date, postpartum stage, childbirth, reproductive health, pregnancy or infant loss, emotional well-being, wellness experiences, or other information you choose to provide through the App, including information contained in journal entries. This information is optional, and you are never required to provide it.

  • We use this information to provide and personalize the App's content and features, determine the appropriate pregnancy or postpartum stage for content delivery, provide journaling and other requested functionality, respond to your requests, maintain and improve the App, and for other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

  • We do not sell your health-related, reproductive health, or journal information. We do not use health-related or reproductive health information for targeted advertising or behavioral advertising.

  • We do not use information you provide about your health, pregnancy, reproductive health, postpartum experience, or journal entries to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, unless we separately disclose this practice and obtain any consent required by applicable law.

  • The Birthing Soul is not a medical service and does not store or process protected health information as defined by HIPAA.

  • REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH DATA: We understand the sensitivity of reproductive health information and are committed to protecting it. We will not voluntarily disclose your reproductive health data, location data, or any combination thereof to law enforcement, government agencies, or third parties for the purpose of investigating reproductive health decisions, unless we are compelled by a valid, enforceable court order or subpoena that we cannot lawfully resist. Where legally permitted, we will notify you before complying with any such request so you may seek legal protection. We do not sell, rent, or share your reproductive health information for advertising purposes.

4. Sharing Your Information

Sharing Your Information With Third Parties

We may share personal information with third-party service providers that process information on our behalf and help us operate, maintain, secure, and improve The Birthing Soul. Depending on the services you use, these providers may include providers of cloud hosting and storage, authentication, subscription and payment processing, analytics, customer support, communications, security, and other technical services.

We only authorize third-party service providers to access or process personal information to the extent reasonably necessary to provide services to The Birthing Soul, comply with applicable law, protect the security of their services, or otherwise perform services on our behalf.

We require third-party service providers that process personal information on our behalf to maintain privacy and security protections that are consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law and to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law. We do not authorize our service providers to sell your personal information or use your personal information for their own unrelated advertising purposes.

We may also disclose information:

  • With your consent or at your direction;

  • When necessary to provide a service you have requested;

  • When required by law, legal process, court order, or governmental request;

  • When necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of The Birthing Soul, our users, or others; or

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or other business transaction, subject to applicable law.

Provider :Apple App Purpose: authentication, subscriptions. Information potentially processed: account and purchase information.

Provider: RevenueCat Purpose: Subscription management Information potentially processed: User ID, subscription and purchase information.

Provider: Google Cloud Services Purpose: App infrastructure & storage. Information potentially processed: Account information, user content.

  • Subscription and Payment Processing

    Purchases and subscriptions made through the iOS App are processed through Apple's App Store and Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple may provide us and our subscription management providers with information necessary to verify and manage your subscription, such as subscription status, product purchased, purchase date, renewal or expiration information, and an application-specific identifier.

    Where we offer payment processing through our website or other platforms, payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not store complete payment card numbers on our servers.

6. Data Retention

  • We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.

  • You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see Section 9 below).

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

    Our website may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand website usage, measure performance, and improve our website and services. You may control certain cookies through your browser settings.

  • App Analytics and Diagnostics

    The App may collect technical, usage, performance, and diagnostic information through the App itself or through third-party SDKs integrated into the App. The specific information collected depends on the services enabled in the current version of the App.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Secure servers and encrypted data transmission

  • Access controls and authentication requirement

  • Regular monitoring for vulnerabilities or breaches

However, no system is 100% secure. By using the App, you acknowledge that transmission of data is at your own risk.

9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we maintain about you;

  • Request correction or updating of inaccurate personal information;

  • Request deletion of your account and personal information;

  • Request a copy of your personal information;

  • Withdraw consent to optional processing of your personal information;

  • Opt out of marketing communications;

  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing; and

  • Exercise any other privacy rights provided by applicable law.

Withdrawing Consent

Where processing of your personal information is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us at support@thebirthingsoul.com or, where available, by using the privacy or account controls within the App. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

If you withdraw consent to information that is necessary for a particular feature or service, we may no longer be able to provide that feature or service.

Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your The Birthing Soul account and associated personal information at any time by using the account deletion functionality within the App, where available, or by contacting us at support@thebirthingsoul.com.

When we receive a valid deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify the personal information associated with your account within a reasonable period, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain by law, including information necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Deletion of your account may result in the permanent loss of journal entries, saved information, preferences, and other User Content associated with your account.

10. Children’s Privacy

  • The App is not intended for children under the age of 18.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

  • If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

  • The App may contain links to external websites or services.

  • We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites.

  • Apple Services. When you use Apple services such as Sign in with Apple or make purchases through the App Store, Apple may independently collect and process information in accordance with Apple's own privacy policies and terms. The Birthing Soul does not control Apple's independent processing of information.

12. International Users

If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
